Whether there is a man-made disaster like terrorism or any mass casualty event like accidents, a person who is actively bleeding can die within just 5-10 minutes. This limited time is practically too short for any ambulances or trained medical personnel to arrive on scene. It’s also not possible to immediately shift patient to hospital for immediate management due to traffic issues. Therefore, “Khoon Behna Ruko Aur Zindagi Bachao” is the first “National Public Disaster Preparedness Campaign” in order to train our citizens in life threatening bleeding control to save precious lives. Our first target population for this campaign is our frontline media reporters. The media reporters are more likely to encounter such incidents, where they can immediately perform life saving intervention to save precious lives. This will create positive image of our nation and will motivate others to contribute in saving lives.
